Ballroom Dance Instructors
Many people who live in the mid-Vancouver Island area are interested in taking some lessons in ballroom dancing. Whether to brush up on old dance steps, learn something new or just start from scratch, taking dance lessons is a great way to get out on the dance floor and enjoy dancing.
Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society Workshops
The Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society puts on dance workshops at dances twice per month -- on the first Friday of each month at Bowen Park Auditorium in Nanaimo, and on the third Saturday at Nanoose Place in Nanoose Bay. Check our dance calendar for details.
The cost for each workshop adds an amazingly low $3 per person to the cost of the dance. These workshops are not full-scale lessons, but like hors d'oeuvre, may whet your appetite for more lessons. Come and join us and pick up a helpful tip and find out more about the mid-Island dance scene.

There are several dance studios north of the Malahat (and many more in Victoria and Vancouver) with varying styles of dance and levels of professional qualification.
